Gilbert is testing us. The latest is he will climb up on a chair and then stand up. Whether it is his little chair or our kitchen table chairs, as he is climbing and then standing he'll look over at us to get a reaction. We are doing the typical response, but wonder what you have done in the past to break the bad behavior.
I am curious what the "typical" repsonse is PJ??? Our reaction a firm "no" and removed from chair. Chair can also be removed if he's willing to keep "pushing". Good luck. "typical" I am trying to hold in my laughter!!!
ReplyDeleteIs holding him upside down by the ankles over the balcony atypical?
ReplyDeleteWe have the same issue and we just keep telling Charlie, "Feet on the floor," and putting him back down. Don't know if it's working but...we've got to try.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there is probably some confusion on Gilberts part as well. He stands on the couch, he stands on the bed, he sits on the dishwasher door and in the oven drawer. My suggestion sit him on the chair and tell him chairs are for sitting only.
ReplyDeleteWe say "on you bottom" over and over.
